There is something bold, new, channelled and true in the air around Visions of Albion. The roots duo exist in that magical space where melody meets soul and their songs of innocence and experience come to life with the places in between. Debut single “Your Not Alone” https://open.spotify.com/track/2qp7Mh5yzodlxHQqtIhc3Q?si=u8nMyWe1Q32k1Y_G_Bt-Wg had the Liverpool folk, country and Americana scene swooning over Daniel Ryan’s delicate but driven guitars and Samantha Shields cut-glass top line tales.
This delicate lament made Liverpool label and music publisher Klee Music sit up and take notice. And now, Visions of Albion much anticipated debut EP is here. Five brand new recordings highlighting the duo’s pastoral and pop instincts, showcasing these Laurel Canyon inspired song-writers. This eponymous EP traces the arc of such influences as Emmylou Harris, Vashti Bunyan and Fleetwood Mac, with each tune standing sentinel over the duo’s songwriting skills.
“Our partnership is not just musical. That’s what the work is about. Relationships”
