About The Events

Hailing from Liverpool, Helen Maw is a singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist.

Combining heartfelt and emotive lyrics with catchy melodies, she has established her own brand of music, drawing influences from indie rock and pop and writing about the world around her.

Helen released her debut album Growing Pains on Friday 12th April 2024.

Helens previous releases have received widespread radio play from BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio as well as a number of radio stations across Europe, America and the rest of the World.

Her music has also been played on match days at Anfield Stadium, home of Liverpool Football Club. In 2023, Helen formed her own band and they have gigged extensively across the Liverpool City Region including performances at Future Yard, The Philharmonic Music Room and the World famous Cavern Club.

Through her songwriting, Helen looks to connect with her audiences, writing often about experiences we all have to go through.

Her music speaks of love, life and growing up.

This is a unique gig experience that puts you at the heart of the artist’s performance.

Due to this we have a minimal talking/phone use policy during performances. Any unnecessary noise during performances will result in you being asked to leave the event.

We thank you for helping us to create a listening environment and respecting the artists.

A large proportion of the revenue raised from ticket sales is returned to the artists as payment for their talent and musicianship.

Prohibition Recording Studios prides itself in having musical integrity on behalf of ourselves and the artists.

Tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis and are non-refundable.

No under 18s allowed.

Doors open at 19:00 and the show starts shortly after.

We politely ask all guests to arrive before the start time to ensure performances are not disturbed.
