CAVERN ORIGINALS – Featuring sets from Jon Keats, Martin Quinn & Scott Beckett Three resident artists from the most famous club in the world, present an evening of their original music.

As well as performing weekly in the Cavern, paying homage to the bands that have made the venue what it is today, all these artists write and release their own music.

For the first time, they are getting together in the intimate surroundings of Prohibition to showcase the other side of the Cavern!

JON KEATS

At the grand old age of 56, Jon finally released his debut album “Any Man Would Do the Same” last year on Cavern records. Twelve “tortured love songs” as well as two bonus tracks produced by legendary Ringo/Aerosmith producer Mark Hudson. These two tracks also feature former Wings drummer, Steve Holley, and the one only Earl Slick, David Bowie, and John Lennon’s guitarist of choice. Despite his connection with The Beatles and The Cavern, Jon’s music is very much in the Americana genre. He recently played shows in Nashville, performing at the legendary EXIT/IN and a songwriter’s night at The Listening Room. A huge Elvis fan, he started recording album number two at Sun Studios in Memphis and is currently finishing it off in a barn in Lancashire.

MARTIN QUINN

Martin Quinn from Liverpool is crafting his unique sound, drawing inspiration from a blend of folk, indie, rock, and Americana influences, listening to the likes of Fleet Foxes, Springsteen, War on Drugs, and Bright Eyes along the way. Transitioning from years in a band, Martin is now dedicated to writing and recording his solo project, infusing his music with a rich tapestry of musical styles and experiences.

SCOTT BECKETT

Scott Beckett is a singer songwriter who has been releasing music since 2017. His debut single ‘Take Me Home’ gained local success and was the lead track from his first EP ‘Teach Me To Fly’. He has gone on to establish himself as a prolific songwriter, releasing music regularly and this year he released his first full album titled ‘Dreamland’. Scott is supporting the album this year with a solo acoustic tour, whilst recording new songs ready for release in 2025.

Consider this your chance, as a fan, to come hear the artist you love perform in an intimate, inner-city studio environment and also discover new, similar and fantastic musicians.

This is a unique gig experience that puts you at the heart of the artist’s performance. Due to this we have a minimal talking/phone use policy during performances. Any unnecessary noise during performances will result in you being asked to leave the event. We thank you for helping us to create a listening environment and respecting the artists.

No under 18s allowed.

Doors open at 19:00 and the show starts shortly after.

A large proportion of the revenue raised from ticket sales is returned to the artists as payment for their talent and musicianship.

Prohibition Recording Studios prides itself in having musical integrity on behalf of ourselves and the artists.

Tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis and are non-refundable.

We politely ask all guests to arrive within 45 minuites of the door opening time to ensure performances are not disturbed. Once performances start, our doors will be closed.

Ticket sales end at 12pm on the day of the event – No tickets will be available on the door unless specified by Prohibition Recording Studios.
