About The Events

Alan O’Hare, aka Only Child, makes emotional music.

Since forming in 2012, his band have released four acclaimed albums, many EPs and a live album recorded with a string quartet.

The group have headlined The Music Room at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall three times and also Liverpool’s The Zanzibar Club, 81 Renshaw, The Magnet and Thornton Hough Village Club on Wirral.

Only Child have also supported the likes of Blue Rose Code, My Darling Clementine, Pete Wylie, Ian Prowse & Amsterdam, Steve Pilgrim, Gemma Hayes and Mick Flannery.

2022 sees Only Child celebrate their tenth anniversary with a brand new album, ‘Straight Lines’ (***** Liverpool Sound & Vision).

This unique and intimate gig will see O’Hare joined by popular producer/guitarist Jon Lawton as they play through 2022 album ‘Straight Lines’, talk about the making of the record throughout the pandemic, tell the stories behind the music and sing some Only Child favourites. Cheers!

This is a unique gig experience that puts you at the heart of the artist’s performance.

A large proportion of the revenue raised from ticket sales is returned to the artists as payment for their talent and musicianship.

Prohibition Recording Studios prides itself in having musical integrity on behalf of ourselves and the artists.

Tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

No under 18s allowed. Doors open at 18:30 and the show starts at 19:30.

We politely ask all guests to arrive before the start time to ensure performances are not disturbed.

Ticket sales end at 12pm on the day of the event – No tickets will be available on the door unless specified by Prohibition Recording Studios.

TICKETS AND VALID I.D. (DRIVING LICENSE OR PASSPORT) ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL GUESTS ON ENTRY.
