John Bramwell, songwriter of seminal group I Am Kloot, plays a very special Valentine’s weekend residency at Prohibition Recording Studios, Liverpool johnbramwell.com John Bramwell has been on a never-ending rolling adventure since his workings away from the cherished, Mercury Prize nominated Mancunian band, I Am Kloot.

February 23rd 2024 marked the release of the acclaimed, sophomore album ‘The Light Fantastic‘. Lauded across the board, ‘The Light Fantastic‘ is a masterclass in emotionally charged and melodically driven tunes for the adventurous. “After both my Mum and Dad died, I started writing these songs to cheer myself up,” John admits with typical candour.

“The themes are taken from my dreams at the time. Wake up and take whatever impression I had from what I could remember of my dream and write that.” Despite the sentiment, the songs are surprisingly uplifting and have been lighting up, and selling out, countless live shows across the country.

This is a unique gig experience that puts you at the heart of the artist’s performance.

Due to this we have a minimal talking/phone use policy during performances.

Any unnecessary noise during performances will result in you being asked to leave the event.

Doors open at 19:00 and the show starts shortly after.

A large proportion of the revenue raised from ticket sales is returned to the artists as payment for their talent and musicianship.

Prohibition Recording Studios prides itself in having musical integrity on behalf of ourselves and the artists.

Tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis and are non-refundable.

We politely ask all guests to arrive within 45 minuites of the door opening time to ensure performances are not disturbed. Once performances start, our doors will be closed.
