About The Events

Ben Bruant and Will Cashel are duo – playing ‘songs you know in ways you probably don’t’ in a style fusing flamenco, pop and classical music.

Ben was born in Le Havre in France and studied at the National Conservatory in Paris before moving to London.

Will, born in Bath, England, won a scholarship to the Purcell School of Music at 13 before gaining a place at the Royal Northern College of Music.

They met and formed duo in 2011 while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London. 

Together the band has recorded five albums and two EPs and performed to audiences including British and European royalty and at Liverpool Philharmonic, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, BBC Good Food Festival, Smoked & Uncut, Goodwood, Newbury Spring Festival and the F1 Grand Prix. Its music is featured regularly on Scala Radio and BBC Radio 2.

When lockdown began in March 2020, duo began live streaming gigs which evolved into free weekly performances in the gardens of nominated key and frontline workers to thank them for their amazing work during the pandemic.

These ‘Gigs In Your Garden’ became a huge hit and were featured on BBC Breakfast, Sky News, Jeremy Vine on 5 and in The Times, Mail on Sunday and Evening Standard.

‘Gig In Your Garden’ the album, inspired by the music played at these events, was released on Demon Records in February 2021. duo are excited to be bringing their unique and exhilarating style of music for the first time to Prohibition Recording Studios.

This is a unique gig experience that puts you at the heart of the artist’s performance.

A large proportion of the revenue raised from ticket sales is returned to the artists as payment for their talent and musicianship.

Prohibition Recording Studios prides itself in having musical integrity on behalf of ourselves and the artists.

Tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

No under 18s allowed.

Doors open at 19:30 and the show starts shortly after.

We politely ask all guests to arrive before the start time to ensure performances are not disturbed.

Ticket sales end at 12pm on the day of the event – No tickets will be available on the door unless specified by Prohibition Recording Studios. 

TICKETS AND VALID I.D. (DRIVING LICENSE OR PASSPORT) ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL GUESTS ON ENTRY.

Note: There is limited seating at the venue – to avoid disappointment, please arrive for the event start time, which coincides with the doors opening. There are steps on entry to the building, so we are very sorry, but unfortunately due to restrictions of the building management we cannot offer a ramp for wheelchair users at this time. There may be a small card processing fee, unfortunately Prohibition Recording Studios cannot control this. We absorb all other fees where possible.
